Dear Pro Family Friend,

If you attended our November 30 meeting at the Cross Lanes Char House and recieved one of our handouts for the proposed January 8, 2000 Conference, please do not use any of this information. Please discard these handouts. Thank you.

Due to several legal questions which arose in our meeting, a decision has been made to postpone this conference. We will strive to set a new date at one of our meetings in the near future.

Instead of our conference, we have scheduled a SPECIAL meeting at the Cross Lanes Char House for 6 PM on January 11, 2000. This is the night before the legislature meets (at noon on January 12).

IN THIS SPECIAL MEETING, WE WILL BE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH MUCH OF WHAT WE HAD HOPED FOR IN THE CONFERENCE SUCH AS:

1) A LOBBYING WORKSHOP TO INFORM, ASSIST AND TRAIN POTENTIAL LOBBYISTS.

We will supply more detail within the next few weeks.

2) A SCHEDULE FOR LOBBYING THIS SESSION OF THE LEGISLATURE.

This will allow us to give better and more nearly complete coverage on all the issues important to us as pro-family activists.

3) A COUNTY CONTACT AND COORDINATOR LISTING FOR ALL POSSIBLE COUNTIES IN WEST VIRGINIA.

We have a partial listing and will integrate any that you might have if you will get them to Henry Thaxton or Kelli Sobonya as soon as you can.

Note: We will dispense with the time to introduce everyone and go directly into the program with handouts and time for questions and discussion after we have covered the main items. Any input which you can provide to Henry or Kelli will be very helpful. Our addresses are listed below. Thanks.

AGAIN, AN APOLOGY IS IN ORDER FOR OUR FAILING TO ANTICIPATE THE LEGAL QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CONFERENCE PRIOR TO OUR MEETING. PLEASE DO NOT THINK OF THIS AS A SETBACK. MUCH CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED AT OUR NEXT MEETING ON JANUARY 11, WHICH WILL PROVIDE THE TOOLS FOR A SUCCESSFUL EFFORT DURING THE UPCOMING LEGISLATIVE SESSION.
